Most people are oblivious to the law of attraction but it continues to work in their lives anyway. You don't need to believe in the law of attraction any more than you need to believe in the law of gravity. However if you ignore the laws of gravity you might get hurt!
When you understand the law of gravity you won't jump out of airplanes without a parachute. And when you understand the law of attraction you'll also take precautions to protect yourself. Everything we experience in life depends of what we've been attracting consciously or unconsciously!

The Law of Attraction Is A Universal Law Like Gravity
The problem is that most people are not aware of what they're attracting. They attract people, events, situation, love, money, success, failure, and all their experiences unconsciously. A few people attract only good, positive and happy experiences, but most people don't. Why? Because most people have developed a habit of thinking negative thoughts even when they think they're being positive!
The unconscious use of negative words and thoughts leads to negative experiences over and over again. The law of attraction takes over like it always does, but these people are not aware why they're attracting unhappiness or failure. They are also not aware that there is something they can do to change their life.
When You Understand The Law of Attraction You Can Turn Your Life Around
Is your life filled with positive, happy experiences? Probably not if you're reading this article. Most people do not look for help solving problems, or help creating a better life when their life is perfect in every way.
The first step to any recovery is acknowledging there is a problem. As long as you blame people or situations external from you, your life can't change. Why? Because you cannot control other people. You cannot control what people will do or say or how they impact your life. You cannot control your external world. You cannot depend on the external world for happiness because you have no control over it. All we can control is ourselves. This understanding or spiritual 'truth' is a giant leap in the understanding of how the law of attraction works.
A big mistake people make is being happy when people say nice things and getting depressed or angry when someone says or does something they don't like. Responding to others in this way means we have given up control over our happiness to other people. We become like puppets on a string with no direction of our own.
Once we understand that our happiness depends not on other people, but how we react to other people and situations, we can begin to change our life. The law of attraction has nothing to do with changing our external world. It has everything to do with changing what we attract into our lives.
The law of attraction doesn't work by changing what other people do, or what they want, or what they believe in. The law of attraction works to give us happiness only when we consciously apply the rules to ourselves. When you take responsibility for the life you've created, good or bad, you can work consciously to make your life different in the future.
Become a Conscious Creator of Your Experiences
Yes you can become a conscious creator of your experiences instead of doing it unconsciously. We are all 'creators'. Most people believe they create their life based based on the decisions they make. This is partly true. However the law of attraction starts working long before decisions are made.
We start attracting situations into our life from the moment we have an 'idea' or from the moment we say words that create pictures or thoughts in our mind. Creating starts with our words and thoughts. The process ends when we experience what we've been focusing upon. The process of creating using the law of attraction works whether we are consciously aware of what we're doing or not!
Words, Thoughts, and the Law of Attraction
Most people seem to be tossed about like leaves in the wind. They don't feel they have any control over what happens in their life. Someone else is always to blame for the bad things that happen. When you believe in the law of attraction, you take back your power. It's yours. You've always had it and you've been unwittingly using it all your life. But now you can begin creating your life situations consciously. You are now becoming aware that everything you say and everything you think about will affect your life in a positive or negative way. You are becoming aware that your life experiences have been created by you, and not external forces.
Thoughts are powerful. Thoughts are pictures in our mind. Words are an extension of our thoughts. Words are not our thoughts but they are used to describe what we're thinking about. Most people use the same words over and over again. The more they use them the less aware they are using those words. By listening to every word you say, you can decide if you want to keep them, replace them, or trash them. It's best to eliminate words that are contrary to what you want in your life.
Examples of Words That Have A Negative Impact
- If you want love, eliminate the word 'hate' (e.g. I hate when it rains)
- If you want achievement, eliminate the word 'can't' (e.g. I can't find my keys)
- If you want success, eliminate the word 'won't' (e.g. I won't know until tomorrow)
- If you want confidence, eliminate the word 'try' (e.g. I'll try to make it to the event)
- If you want to feel good, eliminate the phrase 'pain in the neck' (e.g. He's a pain in the neck)
- If you want energy, eliminate the word 'tired' (e.g. I'm tired of hearing it)
Notice that the context in which the above words are used is rather innocent. Words can be used in an innocent or even sarcastic way and still attract unwanted experiences in our life. These words work on changing the vibration of our energy field and most of us do it unconsciously. Yet these negative words used over and over again without our conscious awareness directly affects what we attract into our life.
If you want to experience hate instead of love continue using the word. If you want to continue experiencing failure and disappointment continue using the words can't, and won't.
Become a Conscious Creator of Your Life.
Here are the steps to becoming a conscious creator of your life and how to attract happiness:
- Consciously listen to every word you speak
- Consciously eliminate words that don't serve you
- Replace negative words with positive expressions
- Do this until it becomes a habit
- Picture the life or experiences you want to create
- Replace negative thoughts with positive thoughts
- Do this until it becomes a habit.
The law of attraction is a simple concept but feeling it in your heart until it becomes an aspect of your personality takes time. It takes time to recognize and eliminate habits that are not serving us. Then with a little creativitiy we can begin to develop habits, a way of thinking, and a way of speaking that will attract greater success, love, and happiness into our life.
